Gallery: MFA Installation

My Master's Thesis Exhibition at the University of New Mexico was intended to function as an emotional environment, a space where the viewer was surrounded by extremely large scale color field paintings. These landscape/mindscape inspired works created a space that was open to reflection, meditation and the need for solitude. My hope was that people would react to the scale of the paintings, the strong shapes and colors.....and assign their own interpretations to the work. I was very influenced by the Rothko Chapel in Houston, as well as by the myriad of stories and pictures that constantly inhabit my head.
